TES: Skyrim is a caliber of game that only comes around every few years and it should be treated as such. When going in I had no idea what Skyrim was actually going to bring to the table, something along the lines of Fallout, Oblivion or Morrowind but I learned early on that it is astonishingly better than any previous Bethesda game. I decided to wait to write this review until I felt I had played enough to eat a full dish of what Skyrim was serving. To get to this point I’m sitting at 50 hours ...

    Everythings better with dragons. 0

Always have trouble writing reviews for this brand of game because there's just so much stuff going on that I inevitably forget to mention some key point or feature. But whatever.I'll do what I always do - ramble incoherently for a few paragraphs and tack a score on the end. Like most if not all Elder Scrolls games before it Skyrim places you in the boots of a person taken prisoner for reasons that aren't ever really explained. In fact you're about to be executed when out of nowhere a drag...

Nice game, but feels repetitive to the other Bethesda games. 0

This game is a very nice on the eyes, I enjoyed it very much, although it reminded me to much of Fallout: New Vegas, but what can you expect from Bethesda, I just was hoping to see a game that looked a little different, the character models, and the land scape looked to much like the Fallout games, that's the only thing that I'm having a hard time getting over every thing else was great, that's why my honest rating is a four out of five, the graphics are great, the gameplay is great, and the voi...

    Bethesda's Finest 0

Sense of place, the intangible feeling of everything belonging within a game world’s narrative context, is perhaps the most important aspect of sandbox design. Taking that feeling and turning it into curiosity and wonder about what is around the bend—or in this case around the dankest, darkest cave tunnel, or tallest snowy peaks—is even more impressive, and difficult for developers to accomplish. This is what makes the land of Skyrim such an interesting place to take in. With their latest effort,...

A game worthy of the Dragonborn 0

28 hours. That's my current time spent the amazing world of Skyrim. In those 28 hours, I've ventured out, done many side-quests, and got to join the Dark Brotherhood, my favorite of the groups to join. I'm about level 26 with my Nord, and I mostly fend off foes using two-handed weapons and my various shouts. There's so much to see and do in Skyrim, and the fact that you can venture anywhere and play how you want really makes this a must-play RPG.Skyrim is vast, but dangerous thanks to dragons, g...

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 0

This games is fantastic. I love playing Fallout 3, but this game is so much better. I love how the game starts and it never stops. I love that you level up higher than level 20 like Bethesda has done in prior games. I wish I could say specific things I liked about this game, but I love everything about it. It's wonderful that you can level up and focus on elements that you naturally utilize when you play the game. If you are wondering if you should try this game, the answer is YES. Get it, play ...

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 0

Skyrim came out exactly one month ago, so now seems like as good a time as any to write about it. I haven't been playing it constantly that entire time, but I have spent quite a few hours with it. I haven't finished it, of course. Not in the sense of seeing all the things there are to see, or even just completing the main story quest. I'm maybe about a third of the way through it. As far as the other quest lines, I've joined three of the five major factions, and I've only finished doing work for...

    Great Game 0

This game is amazing. Though on the 360, the initial release was a bit glitchy...it was rarely game-breaking. With a game that is such a large world and contains SO many intricate pieces, there's no wonder that the initial release had some minor glitches. Now, after a few updates, the game runs fine and looks phenomenal. The quests are pretty varied, the puzzles can be varied in difficulty, and the depth of the fiction and dedication to that fiction is quite impressive. Though certain aspects ca...

Skyrim is The Best Game EVARRRRRRRR!!!! 0

You go out and buy this game right now! It is worth whatever price it is. There is nothing that needs to be said to prove my point that Skyrim is the best game ever, but I'll give you some short reasons why you need this game. The story is insanely deep and you can easily get into the lore around you! There are plenty of books to read which believe it or not are actually interesting and some are even useful. For example there is a book on Shadowmarks which give hints to thieves on which place...

    Skyrim: Dawnguard Review 1

DAWN GUARD IS FINALLY HERE! Many of you have been waiting for this day since it's announcement a few months ago! Well wait no longer! Finally a DLC package for an amazing game like Skyrim!SKYRIM is an absolutely amazing game all by itself. But this isn't a review on the basic game. Instead, about the newest DLC, Dawnguard! For the manageable price of 1600 Microsoft Points (20$), you can have it downloaded in a matter of minutes from XBLA or at the main menu of the game under "Game Addo...

    Fus-Roh-Doh! 0

Ahh Skyrim. Probably the most overrated game of this generation. Before you fanboys get your panties in a twist let me explain myself. I did give the game a six. This means it is playable. But it really is not worth your time. Why?First off, and for me most frustrating is the needless complications. “But it's an RPG. You must not like the genre if you don't want complication.” Incorrect. I said “needless” complications. Myself, I have finished many an RPG and loved every second of it. So that ar...

    Epically Epic 0

Oblivion has been the longest time I've ever spent in my gaming career (108 hours before DLC. 130 hours post-DLC). I was actually hesitating to play Skyrim due to the fear of this game sucking my life away. The good news it didn't suck up as much time, only about 70 hours pre-Dawnguard. It was every inch as amazing and epic, but way more manageable. It does take some time to get used to the Elder Scrolls leveling up system where missions don't really give you experience directly. Your level is ti...

Secret's Short Reviews #002- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 0

As someone who loved Oblivion for all of it's flaws and for hundred upon hundreds of hours, I was afraid of going into Skyrim, as I wasn't sure if I'd be able to enjoy another entry of the series with the same amount of passion and force that I was hit with for Oblivion. So what happened when I played Skyrim? About another 150 hours down the toilet in a game that greatly expanded upon not just the changes and implementations from Oblivion, but from Fallout 3 and New Vegas as well. The controls a...

Tamriel Just Got A Little Better 0

Skyrim is a big open world sand box that put plainly, is a ton of fun. It hits all the key points you would expect a game of It's type to hit, but It doesn't stop there. Skyrim will continue to surprise you even after you pour 60+ hours into the games many quests, dungeons and random things you can do. Upon your first play through you may or may not experience a group of werewolves, a little boy doing devilish things to a skeleton, or a bard that is entangled in a love triangle with a Dunmer and...

An epic journey that will make any social life crumble 0

Where to start with this game.. i truly don't know. There are so many things to do, to see, to kill. There is no review or video worthy enough to explain what this game is and does. I say does because this game does something to you. It pulls you in. Into the story, into the combat and into the world. The world of Skyrim is filled with quests. There are main story quests and there are side quests. You will have your hands full with both. That is, if you even spend your time doing quests...

OOOH, WHAT'S THAT: The Game 0

Thank god for Skyrim crashing from time to time, because that's the only reason I stop playing to do other, real-life things, like sleep. It's that good. “I stop playing only when the game crashes.” that's a gold quote to put on the back of the box. For all its major and minor failures and all the little things that Bethesda continues to screw up on, Skyrim is a helluva of a game, a game that pulls you from a thousand different directions, begging you to explore this, find that, or talk to him or...
