Overview
The Forest is an open-world first-person survival-horror game developed and digitally published by Endnight for the PC (Platform) (via Steam (Concept)) on April 30, 2018. It originally entered Steam Early Access on May 30, 2014 and also received release on the PlayStation 4 (Platform) in November, 2018. The Forest is set on a mysterious island that the player character's plane has crash landed on. After the crash, the protagonist awakens to find his son, Timmy, missing, and all other passengers seemingly missing or dead. It's soon discovered that mutated cannibals inhabit the island. The player must fight these cannibals while trying to find their son. In addition, the player is able to gather resources to build new weapons, shelter, and defensive structures like traps and barricades.
