Feast Your Eyes On The Splendor Of The Last Guardian

After seeing a leaked, proof-of-concept teaser and then a shaky-cam trailer of Team Ico's next PS3 project The Last Guardian, I was surprised to see the game conspicuously absent from Sony's press materials at E3. But now high-res screenshots and a direct version of the E3 trailer are available, which I feel compelled to bring to your attention. What a pretty and heartfelt game this is shaping up to be.

I think The Last Guardian is my most-wanted game from E3 that I saw the least of. How about you?

I am a biga-huge fan of implicit story-telling in my games, ala Ico and Left4Dead.

Hope this will end well for the baby Gryphon. Regardless the game is a must-have for me.

This is by far my most anticipated game for any console. Hopefully we only have to wait another year or so before we're able to play it, but part of me is thinking it will be at least 2 years...

Still Team ICO has never let us down. They produce gaming perfection. These guys are true artists.

I want this game more than anything I saw at E3. The gryphon animation is absolutely spot on. It gives the character so much emotion. I feel attached to it already.

i really bugs me that the boy looks really cartoony and the big rat griffin thing is very realistic looking

I don't know why, but their games always have an unparalleled majestic beauty to them. Makes you wonder what an impact the trailer would've had, if the proof of concept footage hadn't leaked before.

Thought I'd point out a bug I noticed where screenshots are rendering behind the flash video on this post. Not sure if it's a known issue but figured it would be good to let you guys know. I'm running Firefox.

Definitely interested in this game now! As for my most wanted game from E3 that I saw the least of..would have to be Dead Rising 2 but then again that wasn't at E3 at all lol

I like that actually, I think it adds to the look of it all. Maybe the actual game will look different?

The kid still looks like the weakest link. Visually everything looks stunning, but that bright white tunic looks at odds.

Damn Sony FINALLY stepping it up on the games, right after I sell my PS3.

Looks like I'm gonna be buying another one whenever this hits shelves...

Out of everything I saw at E3, this is THE game I want most -- even though we haven't seen much of it yet. I'm really looking forward to playing this.

After watching this trailer again. I realized just how much the baby gryphon reminds me of one of my dogs. The way he moves is just so similar, it's kinda freaky. Well, before I wanted a PS3, now I need one.

Im not interrested in this at all.
non of team icos previouse games have eather, a several houre escort mission and a slide show. Its just too damn artsy and i dont really play games for the artsyness of it. I play to have fun and i would take a brain dead shooter like Serious Sam and Painkiller over this shit every day. The thing about PS3 that makes me excited is Uncharted 2 and not really anything else, modNation racers looked pretty fun though.

I love how this trailer leaves so much for the imagination to feast... Castlevania: LoS and this were the winners of the show for me.

That's not the point. Sega used to make great games too, now look at them. I'm saying you should get excited with release trailers, the final product might come as a disappointment.

The animations for the gryphon are amazing, I agree with above one of the posters-there are a bunch of small things he does that remind me of my dog

These "screens" all seem to be in reverse ratio. Did someone forget to tell Team Ico it's 16:9 horizontal, not 16:9 vertical?

Or maybe you just have to turn your TV on it's side to play the Last Guardian. Which would be hilarious.

Looks beautiful. What a great trailer and if this game can have the same emotion and gameplay to back it up, we will have a winner.

I'm not saying I'm dying for this game, but Team Ico is Top Class Development and have an outstanding track record. Anyone who doubts them most likely don't know who they are.

Easily my most anticipated game, so this can't come quick enough. Team ICO continues to inspire.

Even the damn trailer moves me, and i don't think any other studio has done that to me.

This trailer didn't warrant an "Eh" though. Regardless of what the game is like when it's out, "Eh"-ing this trailer is just ridiculous.
Also this is Team Ico we're talking about here, I Loved the 2 previous games.

I like the way the kid's styled differently to the ehh 'animal'.

My most anticipated game.

I'm starting to think of anyone on the GB team Brad's tastes are the ones most similar to my own.

Dude! Are you slow or something? I doubt them, and I know who they are. Sometimes companies lose quality when getting ported to a different gen, or sometimes they just mess up. You never know! It is not reasonable to get your hopes up based on a release trailer.

How can people even want this game when you know nothing about it? I don't know about you, but I got absolutely nothing out of that video... Made no sense at all. Can someone please explain to me what the fuck I just saw, and why I wasted 4:37 of my life in hopes of finding any sense in this trailer?
Also, the art style of the kid looks really weird over the style of everything else.
