In the last of us there was posters in a phone booth that that had numbers for pest control, obviously players phoned the number to see if they would get something cool like an easter egg, what they did not expect to get was real live sex talk chat lines.

ND is patching this out so if ya want to find out for yourselves don't update just yet.

I hate some of these reactionary patches. I always liked it when games had weird ass easter eggs like this.

They should have just left them in. Let nature take it's course.

Doesn't really sound like an 'easter egg' so much as an accident.

Or maybe we know what one of the graphic artists does with his spare time now.

Well, someone must have just placed it there on purpose as a joke...which would be hella funny

It was accidental. They used a 555 number assuming that those were universally unusable numbers, but as it turns out, 555 still appears in toll free numbers, and in this case those real world toll free numbers were sex lines

I'm pretty sure these were patched out already with 1.02

Still, pretty funny that this happened.

This is the right kind of mistake to make.

That's exactly the sort of thing I would've done as an asset artist. That's great.

So that's what the patch replacing the numbers was all about! Amazing.
