The first original The Legend of Zelda game on the Nintendo 3DS and also a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past set six generations after.
I've definitely been playing with my headphones on most of the time, that orchestrated soundtrack is dope and you can't really get the full effect through the speakers.
.... is that really real instruments on a portable game? Wow, when those trombones hit, like wow.
Man, 3DS games have been blowing me away over and over with the quality of their soundtracks. There's been real instruments all over the place -- or, damn close enough to it. Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem or Etrian Odyssey come to mind. And there's SMTIV, which isn't orchestrated per se, but is awesome nonetheless.
Glad to hear Link to the Past is joining in on the fun. I think my copy'll show up today...!
I do love the new orchestrated versions of the old music in the game. I especially liked the strummy guitar version of the world music before the game kicks off properly.
