I absolutely love this game so far. I think, for me anyway, the sense of being on a grand adventure with your friend Zelda just strikes a cord with me. The music helps as well, and I think it has some of the best music I have heard in a Zelda game. especially the music when driving your spirit train. It just evokes feelings of excitement for me. Probably am being sad but that's how I feel about the game. Sure.. its not perfect, but I think its a really solid title and I can't put it down! *goes off to play more*

" This piece of music... I just cannot get out of my head! That's become one my favorite overworld songs. Gets the "YOU'RE RIDING A TRAIN HOLY SHIT CHOO FUCKING CHOO!" feeling down.

I'd say the good parts are limited to the 4 (?) main dungeons, which are like 20 minutes each, and the main dungeon parts minus their stealth centric preambles which are just terrible. That makes the good part of the game roughly 2 hours give or take out of what, a 10 to 20 hour game? If the game came with a Skip button that allowed me to pass over the bad parts than maybe I'd rank it high, but I can't say that its the case.
It's better than Phantom Hourglass sure, but nearly of its problems trace back to PH, making it hard to say that this iteration isn't trying to be anything more than another Phantom Hourglass. It's not better than any other Zelda game though, with the possible exception of the CDi Zeldas.
I was really enjoying the game until I got stuck at the very first use of the flute because my stupid mic doesn't work well enough.
I felt like the game was original enough that it didn't even feel like a Zelda game, in a good way. Too bad about the stupid gimmick ruining my play.

Haha, it does. I was always looking forward to the choo-chooing also. All the music in this game sounds awesome compared to Phantom Hourglass, that game had music which was kinda dull in retrospect.
I've been playing the game with an Orbitsound T3 because the DSi's speakers aren't loud enough to showcase the great music the game has. It sounds fucking awesome.

The DSi's improved microphone works like a dream with it. I have yet to try it on a (working) DS Lite, but I imagine it works fine enough.
Just finished it - ****
Yeah, I should be getting this come late January, you know, let the "omgsupermariobroswii" thing kick in for a while.
