The first time i ever completed a Zelda game Was Twilight Princes. I didnt play a lot of games growing up, video games really didnt sink they're teeth into me until the age 16 or so. So i kind missed out. But man i tell you. there is just something about Zelda. The first time a picked up that Master Sword, just...ahhhh! I cant put my finger on it, but it just really gets to me (in a good way) maybe its the embodiment of all my childhood fantasy's in one game? But i enjoyed my time with TP. i wont dare lie and say i didnt tear up a little at the end.
The Legend of Zelda
Nintendo's flagship fantasy action-adventure series created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka in 1985, the Zelda series is the source of many revolutionary gameplay conventions, and continues to be one of the most popular and critically acclaimed video game franchises of all time.
What was your First Zelda game?
The Legend of Zelda.
I've played just about all of them. Didn't really become a huge fan until Ocarina of Time, though. I guess I did really dig Link's Awakening too....
The very first. I remember finding it inside my NES when I was 5 or so and playing it for so damn long during a week where it never seemed to stop raining. I still have that same NES and Zelda game. Think I'll play through it again.
My first was Ocarina of Time, then Majora's Mask, then the GBA version of a Link to the Past. I never really got into Wind Waker and I really disliked Twilight Princess.
The Legend of Zelda. That game was utterly mind-blowing back in the day. Sure, it doesn't hold up nearly as well as the later games, but I will never forget running around the overworld trying to light every bush I could on fire to look for secret doors and loving every second of it.
First single-player game I ever played, in fact. Before that it was Mario Party and watching my cousins play.
I grew up in the Super Nintendo era, and never owned a Super Nintendo, only an old NES, and an original copy of The Legend of Zelda. I never knew what I was doing, despite having played it frequently.
The first in the series I actually undestood, and completed, was A Link to the Past. The Wind Fish has a place in my heart.
Ocarina of Time, I did tear up a little at the end. It might have been the story that got me, or it was probably the fact that I had become so invested in the world, the entire game. I played that game over the course of a year , and when I finally reached the conclusion it was heartbreaking.
The Legend of Zelda. Man I miss that gold cart.
The furthest I ever got was to the second quest (legitimately and with the name code).
This one was my first as well. Remember just getting it because the cartridge was gold... Only found out at home that the game was the shit
Wind Waker. I'm actually replaying it right now after six years since I last played it. The visuals hold up much better than Twilight Princess in my opinion.
My first was Ocarina of Time about 18 months ago. I've now finished Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. I'm going to play Zelda 1 and 2 now. As you can probably tell, I kinda liked Zelda.

Im sure there are some children on this site that are scratching their head and saying "What is that arcane device?"
I'm pretty sure it was the Link to the Past but I remember properly getting hyped and playing the shizz out of Oracle of Ages.
Well i guess i should say i did play the first Zelda when i was like 5 or 6 but i can tell you i sure as hell never beat it. TP was the first time in my life i decided to give a crap about Zelda mainly because i bought a Wii at launch. and after that i got hooked and after finishing TP i went to gamestop and found a copy of Wind Waker which was fucking hard to find at the time.
I am not 100% sure. It was either A Link to the Past or Link's Awakening. I think Link's Awakening. Either way, I did not enjoy it. I have played (and by played I mean a couple of hours of) every game in the Zelda franchise, but it has never seemed to click with me. I think it is the only big name Nintendo franchise I don't have any fond memories of.
