They did it! They finally did it! The Matrix Online now has a somewhat stable emulator that you can actually play. I’ve been keeping track of the different emulators for MXO and how they have been progressing since the server shutdown and this is by far the best. Having said that it’s still pretty damn broken. Combat doesn’t work, the character creation barely works and there’s not a lot to do besides /dance (Always be dancing). I will always have a special place in my heart for MXO and an emulator will never do it justice but I find this sort of thing fascinating. So take a journey with me as Pascual jacks in again!

So what exactly is it emulating? It's obvious that it doesn't know how to use parts of the game client, but I'm not familiar with the concept of emulation for PC games. Is it just creating a framework for accessing things on the disk?

Rofl nice video I laughed at the entire thing and it looks cool, but I never played the game when it got released.

Great.....? I guess it's good for the people who were really into the community. But that game looked terrible.

Your enthusiasm is really commendable, and that's got to be really hellish to emulate on the coders part.  Yeah would be funny to hear the reaction of the guys on the Bombcast.  Reminds me of messing with an Ultima Online emulator years ago.  Was incredible to even get the engine running, online or not.

The thing is they have started the scrip for the 4th and 5th movie so the matrix brand is proably gona be revived and that can only mean good thing for The Matrix Onlinee emulators
