More like all of the entertainment industry. Music, movies, video games, etc. It's all on the west coast. :D "
yeah and technology as a whole really. They don't call it silicon valley for nothing.

I fell asleep in the middle of it and woke up at 5am (2am Pacific) slumped over on my laptop to find that the stream ended.

That was awsome guys, thx for all your effort. Even though the end was a bit anti-climatic (even compared to how they ended the beta) the whole thing was a kickass event. Also, happy birthday Jeff!!!!!!!

I was in the middle of yawning and when Vinny said "remember the presidents day event where we all bought cars". I didn't get to finish the yawn as I busted out laughing. I felt like I needed to yawn for about 10 minutes but couldn't.

@and333: I suppose. I just feel people are over critical on movies really. For me, its a 2 hour experience and if I like it that's great and if I didn't oh well. With videos games, I want to fucking know about the game before i drop 60 bones on it and invest anywhere from 20 to 100 hours of game play. But with movies I just feel like its way less of a investment.  Plus I think it's ridiculous when people decide not to like something because someone else said they didn't like it. That doesn't mean some people can't form solid opinions on things because they absolutely can and do. There is just always a pack of mindless sheep that love to jump on the bandwagon.

In the end, I look at the matrix as a pretty good set of movies and that's about it.

This was so awesome.

But there was so much Lady Gaga. It was stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

I started watching during the last half hour right around when the depressed  guy was dancing in the street.  What a hilarious way to begin my live MXO viewing. Too bad I missed the first hour and a half though. Hope they do something like this again.

I was moving, so I missed the event which makes me even more sad about missing it after I watched it...lol

Excellent documentation nevertheless.

I think doing more things for the users is great, but it just makes me kind of annoyed and frustrated when I miss these live events. I've gotten so used to on-demand and time-shifted TV, not to mention Internet video, that I haven't had to work my schedule around a broadcast for such a long time.

I think doing live events is fine as long as there is always an "any time" archived version available. Perhaps getting the last hour is enough, I don't really know how lively it was so I can't say if I missed anything.

Looking at the numbers of users watching the live stream versus the number of unique users downloading the archived version will probably give you a good idea of the ratio of users potentially left out who were interested in this.

If you go to justin.tv/giantbomb theres an "archive" section with all of the live broadcast. If your saying the ratio of uses who were left out of the live discussion because they didnt attend the live but thats another issue since it was promoted well in advance and told about for weeks.

Well that was pretty interesting an hour of getting ganked, kissing, dacing, fondling and some quite funny jokes.

edit: and now I can't stop thinking about lady gaga.

@Pazy: Thanks for directing me to the archive section on Justin.tv. I wouldn't have noticed it unless I were looking for it!

Sorry if I wasn't very clear, but my comment about missing the live event was more about simply not being able to be there rather than being under-informed. However, with there being an archive of the entire live stream, it doesn't seem like much more of an issue. I don't like the interface design of the Justin.tv archive pages, but at least they're there.

I find it funny that you can still download the game client and that on the official website, it says that the servers are "open".
