Precursor to Assassin's Creed Brotherhood?

#1 Edited by maggiemoo (1 posts) -

The Ship never got very popular, but it seems like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood's multiplayer is pretty heavily inspired by The Ship.  The bummer about The Ship right now is that almost noone plays it, and it's really dependent on people getting into it.  I'm hoping Assassin's Creed Brotherhood can make this kind of multiplayer stealth combat work.  Has anyone else who's played this think the same thing?

I haven't played the Ship but that Spy Party game definitely piqued my interest for these type of covert PvP games. I guess the closest a game has come to being both popular and including covert PvP has been something like TF2 in which the Spy class is meant solely to subvert the opposing team's organization.

@maggiemoo:  Never heard of The Ship, but this kind of cerebral game sounds very interesting to me. I think I'm with @xanavi:  on waiting for Spy Party though, because it's free and apparently no one plays The Ship; plus it'd be hard for me to get my friends to take a dive on it.

I remember that game.  I can't remember why I didn't pick it up.

This Ship lacked a fundamental element that Brotherhood satiates. Parkour that culminates in face and neck stabbing.

This right here is a very poignant point.

When I heard about how Brotherhoods multiplayer would be structured, I immediately thought of The Ship and how great that sounds in theory.
When actually playing The Ship though, it wasn't as cool as I thought it would be, so I really hope Brotherhood will be a better version of The Ship, which it must be since you can stab someone in the neck five times like Uh Uh Uh Uh Uh.
