I didn't really think about micro-transaction revenue before but I am staggered that it came to $25,000,000 from the iOS version of The Simpsons Tapped Out in one quarter alone! (source).

I play this game on Android and sure its a fun distraction but I can't see why anyone would throw money at it. What a waste! At least in my opinion. Do you use real money in this game? Was it worth it? Can you believe this is worth $100m a year from one game on one platform?

From the twenty seconds of that game I experienced before uninstalling it, it seemed like a Farmville clone. Those things print money.

I've never played it but that is a crazy amount of money. No wonder EA wants to stick micro transactions on everything, it is easy money.
