I feel like this game should jump to the 360. I don't have a PC anywhere near good enough to run it but I played the first two games and I love the franchise. Anyone else agree?

If they could actually just do a functioning port rather than the garbage that was the previous console sims offerings than yes I would be interested in it.

Don't see why not, modern consoles have reached the point where the insides are just custom pc parts anyway. If they allow for a usb keybord and mouse control option it would sell like hot cakes.

@atlantabrave04:  You should give the game a try on your computer. It seems to run really well even on lower end systems. I run it on my lap top which is far from a gaming machine. Plus there of course are some graphics options you can turn down if you absolutely have to.

No! That game was so horrible when I played it.

The Sims 3 should probably stay on the PC. I don't see how they'll get the Store on the 360 without making a mess.

Sims games aren't meant to be played on consoles. All the previous Sims games on consoles have sucked.

    Sources?

I personally loved all the PS2 adaptations of the Sims, having one on the 360 would be perfect for me.

I remember enjoying the Sims 1 on PS2 with split-screen. I also really wanted to try out the second PS2 one for the online stuff but never got round to getting it.

Exactly, bustin out was the best one, and I recently bought Urbz to play on my 360 and it sucked.

It's really not that difficult if EA put effort into it. An example of this can be seen with the Battle for Middle-Earth series. If anyone said those games would be anything close to functional on consoles before they came out, everyone else would've called him crazy. Fact of the matter is, that series did well on consoles, despite the fact RTS's are traditionally console games. It's not unreasonable. That's all I'm saying.

For me the Sims 2 and 3 are all about modifying the game with consumer created custom content.  Via some new mods, I'd finally got my game looking and functioning like I want it too.  On a 360 there would be zero chance of any of that and I'd have to be stuck with all the crap that only EA offers.

Look at my teenage lesbian marriage.  You aren't going to get anything that controversial from a locked-in console port.  If they are going to make a Sims for the 360, that's fine but it shouldn't be just a port of Sims 3.  It would be better if it was one of those Sims Stories type games.

I recall how the console sims had a limit on how much stuff you could build, that was annoying. Also there would be no user content or expansions

I have The Sims,  Bustin Out and The Sims 2 on Gamecube and I thought they all worked pretty well. I still play Sims 2 on my Wii sometimes for the split screen 2 player. The extra power the 360 has would finally let them add stuff like multi-floored houses. Put it this way, if they do it, I'll buy it.

They could make it for them but a direct port I don't think so. I just cannot see how the game would work without a mouse without a serious overhaul of the controls and gui and even then it would be a completely different experience. It's like trying to play an RTS game on a console. They have been able to make them work, but it's a different experience than playing on a PC. But yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they did infact port it.
