    Style over substance

Superb looking, even better sounding and with the mother of all licenses, so what went wrong?
Arguably nothing, its become something of a cult let down.
The licence, slick stylyzed graphics and soundtrack basicly carry what feels like an unfinished, untested game  thats very short and wouldnt be alot of fun if it wasnt for the fact your controlling kyle reese as he ploughs through wave upon wave of respawning cyber scum and punks with his sawn of shotgun and pipe bombs.
Its not great, not even good but its an interesting lesson in style over substance, its almost worth the time just to see how effective the 16-bit segas limited color pallete can be and how great the machine can sound.
One for the die hards, who will lap up every minute and especially enjoy the rotoscoped animation of the present day kyle.
