This one's a pisser, folks. I was on the back half of Ep 5 last night when I had to shut it down and go to bed. Tried to play again tonight (I'm on a PC, Windows, downloaded game off Steam) and for some reason my save file says I'm on Ep 4. But when I try to load it up it asks me whether I want to "rewind" or not. Answering yes or no to this question gives me the same thing .. a black screen. The cursor arrow is there, but I cannot go back to the title screen or do anything at all.

I checked my files and all my saves are there up to what I played thru last night. I checked the Steam and Telltale forums and the advice there (try to revert to previous prefs.prop file, for example) did not work. Do I need to uninstall/reinstall? Is there any way to get my progress back? One thing I did notice; when i checked "episode status," all the eps said they were installed except Ep 1. Could that be screwing up the works?

I'm enjoying this game and really want to see it thru to the end. Any you can offer a very computer un-savvy dude would be much appreciated.
