After playing through episode 5, and reading some comments in other threads, it seems like Telltale kind of screwed up the whole pregnant reveal. Lee was talking to Omid and Christa on the roof and Christa was about to say something, but then ahe cut herself off. But Lee just kind of says "You're walking for two" or something anyways. I certainly saw the hints before that point, but Lee never even let on that he knew anything before that moment. I noticed I had a dialogue option at one point that might've gotten her to say more, but I didn't pick it. Did anybody have that moment play out a bit better?

EDIT: P.S. Did anybody click the "You two go first" option when you're about to walk on the sign? All the playthroughs I've seen didn't pick it and I didn't either.

I didn't even catch that....huh... not that big of a deal. I never built a connection to those characters. At least Kenny fucking redeemed himself, took 5 episodes but he did something right

Yeah you are supposed to know this so it makes it more powerful/gut wrenching when in ep 5 Kenny talks to her and Lee about his family and drinks. He passes the bottle to Krista who thinks about it and then just drinks implying that she doesn't want to bring a life into this world.

Ah.. that's true. I kind of questioned it when I played it yesterday, but I thought I had just forgotten about it or something. So wasn't just me then :P Overall though, I didn't think it impacted much the story so I don't mind :) Awesome game in my opinion.

The reveal was in the attic, when she takes the shot of whiskey.

She hesitates, looks at her stomach, then does it anyway, and the other guys look at her and eachother in a sort of 'oh shit' glance.

There are other hints before that, but that is the moment that Lee and Kenny definitely know.

That's the weirdest scene if you don't notice the cues.

There was stuff sprinkled here and there since they were first shown.

+ Their reaction when they first see Clem.

+ Christa throwing up during the dog scene.

+ Christa's reaction with the girl was being forced to have an abortion.

+ Christa pausing and looking toward her belly before chugging the drink.

There might be a couple more that I'm not remembering, but it was pretty obvious.

That doesn't really make sense considering one of the dialogue options when you're about to cross the sign is "What's up with Christa", which implies that Lee doesn't know.

I said something like "Are you... okay?" but that didn't get me anything. After that, Lee knew somehow.

I'm sure Lee had a suspicion about Christa's pregnancy when she puked, and she did have a hard time watching the Crawford video when that girl had no choice about keeping her baby if she was going to stay in Crawford.

Yeah, it seemed a little weird to me too. I thought maybe it was because I had told her and Omid that I would like them to take care of Clem after Lee died. But that didn't quite make sense because he didn't say something like that to Omid. It was a little off though.

This. I figured she was pregnant by the end of Ep. 4. The finale only cemented it. I'm glad Lee was on the same wave length as me, since it can be annoying when you realize something obvious way before the protagonist does.

Keeping it subtle was the right decision, IMO. The signs were there throughout.

I didn't catch that at all. I told Christa and Omid to take Clem when it was all over and I just assumed the "walking for two" reference was to the idea that she was the one looking out for Clem.

But I guess with all the hints listed here It makes more sense now.

If i remember right, Omid also says something like "Oh look, they have kids!" and she makes him shut up or something. Makes more sense looking back.

It was pretty subtle. It makes sense to me when I look back on it, but I definitely didn't have the running train of thought that she might've been pregnant. So when Lee jumped to that conclusion, it took me off-balance for a bit.

Seems like they could've leaned a little harder in that direction.

Assuming their audience is smart enough to pick up on it without having Christa just tell you is the right decision. It shows they respect their audience.

I didn't realize it when I was playing, but now that I'm reading this and reflecting back on everything... it's pretty obvious.

Its been pretty obvious that she was pregnant since her first appearance but they gave no pay off for it

the entire season was pretty predictable but it didnt matter when the characters were written this well

Lee is you, there were subtle hints sprinkled all over but theoretically you were supposed to have caught on by that point.

(Though I didn't either :( )

I knew she was pregnant as soon as she threw up, but the fact that nobody acknowledges it until the scene on the roof is a little weird.  It would have made more sense if Christa or Omid were surprised that Lee knew, but they kind of just treat it as a matter of fact.
 
I totally didn't pick up on the attic scene with the booze.  I think that's probably because I refused to drink with Kenny, so I was really hoping she would so he wouldn't feel like a dirtbag.  Guess I didn't have my priorities straight there.

The very first hint I had is in Ep 3, if you pull Omid in first he yells at you and says 'Don't you know..' I assumed he was going to say 'women and children first'

I think it was well done. Heading in to Ep 5 I was suspicious, but I thought they did it well, if she didn't mention it, Lee wouldn't, until it really mattered.

Another example of the great story telling in this gem of a game.

Hmmm.. I had a feeling that she was pregnant. I still would've appreciated an extra scene that revealed her pregnancy.

I thought it was kind of obvious, the very first time you see the two of them, one of them says something like "What about when..."

Since I've finished ep. 5, I've watched a few lets plays on youtube and most of them realise it pretty quickly.

Well, that's a bit far. One gulp of alcohol will do a grand total of fuck all to a baby.

They may have skipped a line somewhere, but I wasn't really bugged by it. I figured that if the player has been picking up the signs, then it's reasonable to assume other characters have too.

I totally forgot she was actually pregnant. I thought when Lee said that she was walking for two he meant clementine since I decided to give her to them. But that would make both of them walking for two so I just didn't think it trough. Whoops.

It felt like a scene was cut out. But it didn't bother me that much.

That's how I felt, you ask her what's up and she gets defensive, then you casually reveal that you know she's "walking for two" and neither of them batted an eyelid. I know it was obvious that she was pregnant to the players, but it was also obvious that she was trying to hide it, so I think even a small reaction was needed.
