    Right now my DVD drive is broke and I don't have access to a credit card so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if boxed copies of the game come with a Steam code or GOG code or anything like that. Keep in mind I'm not talking about an activation code; I'm talking about a code to download the full game.

    I'm 99% sure it doesn't come with any code. That would be like getting 2 copies of the game for 1.


    DVD drives are like $15 or so, you can get one.

    @TurkFebruary: In the special edition for the first game it came in a physical DVD and it doesn't make much sense packing a code in. Also welcome to the Giant Bomb.

    Nope.

    You can check the Steam list of games that accept a serial code to download, but it's a short list.
