That's not a trailer. That's the opening cinematic, it says so in the title. That's the extra opening scene they told us it would have back in September when they announced the 360 version.

Makes sense since this shows a scene that is only mentioned in the game. uh, to many S's in that sentence.

It's a common practice to use in-game CGI assets as trailers. This is the console release date announcement trailer. It's a trailer alright. Because it's a trailer. Like it's being used for promotional purposes right now. As if it was a trailer. I bet that's because it's a trailer.

Because it can be both an opening cinematic and a trailer. That's a thing. And it's happening to you right now.

It's pretty fucking awesome. Whether it's a trailer or a CGI intro shouldn't matter.

Fantastic CGI trailer, and yes, it got me pretty psyched for the 360 release this April. I imagine Letho is going to be a giant pain at some point :p.
