I know there was a quick-look on The Witcher 2, but is there anyone at Giant Bomb actually playing the entire game?  I haven't been listening much to the bombcasts, so I may have missed some possible information.  I definitely would feel bad if Brad or Vinny missed out on this great game.

Yep, Jeff and Ryan dabbled in it and liked it but they had other games to play.

No review, probably until the 360 version ships, but for now it seems that the crew digs on the game. 
 
Personally can't wait for the console version.

They are saying good things about the game on the bombcast ... for me that's just as good as a review from these guys.

I think they'll do a quick look on 360, but generally speaking they don't seem to review long RPG's much on Giantbomb. I remember Brad's FF13 review sputtering out because of lack of time and interest.

If Vinny were to jump into The Witcher 2 cold along with Brad the week it came out....they still wouldn't have reviewed it.

Pretty much. The genre is just too time consuming for timely reviews from 4 guys. There's not much need for reviews appearing several months after release.

I'm not looking for a review from them, I just want them to enjoy the game.  At the same time, because of its great story and black/dry humor, I think it could make for a great endurance run.

I'm sure some of them would love to dig into the game, but again it's a time issue. They are 4 guys with a few staff guest reviewers. That doesn't give them a lot of leeway or free time to play all the games they'd like to. As much as it's about fun, it's also their job to keep the site running with new content on a variety of games.

For now I'm stuck with The Witcher , but i got Witcher 2.

Pretty sure Dave played some of it too, but he's a busy busy man.

Witcher 2 is incredible. If you haven't played it yet, and can run this game on your PC...do yourself a favor and pick it up. If you don't have a PC ready for this game, wait until the 360 version.

While I'm fairly certain Skyrim will beat it out (I'm an Elder Scrolls fanatic going back to Arena), on any year where there wasn't an Elder Scrolls game, I'd already be declaring Witcher 2 my GOTY. Even so, Skyrim has some hefty competition.

I don't think any of them will finish it... Maybe for the GotY awards but I doubt it.

I think the Giantbomb guys know this is a good game from just hearing the industry buzz around the net from other sites.  They just don't seem to have the time to play RPG games which is unfortunate :(   (cept for Vinny but he doesn't really review games, just talks about them on the bombcast sometimes)

Don't know about the other staff, but if Vinny managed to soldier on and play DA2 to the end despite everyone's recommendations to the contrary and him hating it, I'm sure he'll manage to get through the Witcher 2 whenever he gets around to it.
