Is there any nudity that isnt during the sex scenes? Also, are those scenes optional?

I am also interested in knowing this little tidbit of information.

Heh. Tidbit. Great word for this question.

This game isn't for you.

#4 Edited by MonetaryDread (2080 posts) -

If you have to ask then you shouldn't play the game. There is nudity, sex and graphic violence throughout the series, and there is no was to censor this. The game is rated "M," for a reason.

Edit: Some scenes are optional, but the game starts out with nudity. Literally, it is one of the first things you see after starting a new game.

If your worried about nudity, then you shouldn't buy the game.  There is non sex nudity, very early on in the game, (triss, lady in the dungeon(forgot her name).

@Cubidog1: @believer258

Full female nudity, breasts and crotch areas.
No male nudity unless you consider bare male chests nudity heh.

There is one scene at the the very start of the game, it can be skipped, but uh, you are still likely to see stuff before you go: "oh shit" and decide to skip it.
Also some breast nudity in the starting dungeon that may or may not be encountered based on certain decisions and route you take.
Also a dream sequence showing less, but likewise skipable  (this again may never even be seen, if you go with different ingame decisions)
All other nudity is optional and requires you to initiate it.

I specifically remember two scenes of plot related nudity.  The rest are all optional.  Maybe there's more if you go with Iorveth instead of Rosch?  *shrug*

If you're afraid of nudity, the internet and M Rated games are not for you. Board games are probably still a safe bet, though.

"A Boob Too Far" A story of the failed attempt to fondle several women in a campaign called Operation Titty-Hunt.
#12 Posted by Korwin (2903 posts) -

@Tennmuerti: I wouldn't call it full frontal female nudity... unless pubic hair counts (it's not like they modeled lady parts). After playing through that game I'm pretty Geralt is heavy into the man-scaping considering how low cut some of those camera angles get.

All of the nudities!

#14 Posted by Shookems (474 posts) -

Perhaps you guys are looking at this the wrong way, and the OP is looking to see if there are enough titties in this game to justify his time investment

But you never know! They might have modeled the lady parts under all that delicious red hair!
Also Geralt is just doing it to remain streamlined, unhindered, and sweat less. It's important as a professional monster slayer :D

a ton and within 5 minutes of starting the game too.

#20 Posted by BiG_Weasel (524 posts) -

I can vouch for that. The game does a "flashback" right at the beginning, where Geralt is leaving his bed, and there's a nekkid chick there. But, as they say above, if you're offended by nudity, and knew this game has it going into it, then you got nobody to blame but yourself for being offended.

Would you rather look at two beautiful naked women, or would you rather kill someone? Go play Tetris.

His morals may not be yours or mine, but where do you get off telling others how they should live their lives?

#23 Posted by Superfriend (1572 posts) -

All of the nudity. You play as Schlong, the dick of Rivia. He likes to run around naked and wearing armor doesn´t help you in the game. Oh, there are also a bunch of naked chicks.

Seriously, I thought it was pretty tasteful, but then again I´m from Europe so I probably have some fucked up sense of dignity and chastity and whatever.. hey that last word almost said "titty" :D

#24 Posted by FritzDude (2269 posts) -

An odd question, but let just say: full frontal in its pixelated glory, though it's more teased. And a woman's breast here and there.

#25 Posted by pornstorestiffi (4939 posts) -

The game doesn't have that much in my opinion, sure it has more than most games, but they usually have 0%. And i think its done pretty well, its not like its hardcore porn.

These threads make me so sad at how some societies view nudity.

GUYS, I CAN ONLY CUT HEADS OFF AND WATCH THE PEOPLE SCREAM AND CRY AS I BURN THEM. NO BOOBS OR MY MUM WILL GET MAD!

No he also made a statement that clearly assumes that the person who asked is morally okay with violence but not with sex in video games.

I think you should see The Witcher's dick in this game.

Just to set the tone. Cos naked girls right at the start is like- "oh, these dudes wanna show that this game is xtreme, alright"

but naked PEOPLE is like "oh fuck, who knows what I'm in for here." Seeing a hairy dick and balls in a videogame still packs a punch, to me.

#32 Posted by drag (1223 posts) -

@believer258: That'd be titbit in the UK, even more fitting.

GTA the lost and damned did that. That was pretty hilarious.

It's just that knowing somebody HAD TO model that area packs a punch. There ain't no Speedtree equivalent for that.

They did full nudity modeling in Heavy Rain although you never saw it in normal gameplay.

They did not make a big deal out of it because it's a European game.

Huge difference. Mass Effect is far more mainstream in the US than any of the Witcher games. Hell, I don't even think their demographic even knows that PC gaming exists besides Farmville or Minesweeper
