I just finished the game but I don't see any option. It would be a shame of there wasn't as I didn't fully level up Geralt during the game. Also would be fun storming through the game with my badass loot.

yeah that's wierd.  Especially considering how much the game obviously encourages replays.

You can't import from Witcher 2 into Witcher 2.  Most RPGs lack New Game +, and if you started off the Witcher 2 at level 36 it would be an incredibly boring grind.  New Game + doesn't always make a second playthrough a better one.

@SonicBoyster: It does if you particularly enjoy going through a game and dominating everything in your path.

I have no problem with New Game +, but more choices is not always superior.  Considering that development cycles are not unlimited, the more features you add to the game that you choose not to completely half-ass the more resources you are burning.  Also consider that you are restricting your choices in gameplay by providing a New Game + because that new character isn't going to get enough experience on an additional playthrough to explore a new branch of skillpoints.  To play again from the beginning is to create a new character from the start.

    Overwhelming majority of WRPGs don't.
There are many reasons for it.
WRPGs pack in a lot of content and the leveling systems are specifically designed and balanced.
Furthermore WRPGs place a big deal on story and world continuity/immersion. New game + flies completely in the face of that concept.
That's just of the top of my head.

The only recent WRPG game I can recall having a feature is ME2, and that's because the progression in the game is barely meaningful and all enemies are auto scaled. The game is mostly a shooter anyway.
(arguably no western RPGs has newgame+ , since many people do not consider ME2 or Diablo to be an RPG)

Then use any of the dozens of cheat tools available on PC.
It's extremely easy to just start a new game and give yourself max level or a huge amount of money, etc ...

@Tennmuerti: I do use those tools when available. It'd just be nice to have an ME1-style New Game+ that doesn't require trainers.

I really hope someone makes a New Game Plus mod. I can never talk myself into replaying a RPG when I have to start from nothing again.

I just started a new game, with no imported save, damn this game is easy when you have mastered the mechanics from the first play.

DO I dare to try insanity?
Not sure, I don't trust the buggyness of what they call boss fights :(

I'm glad it doesn't have one. I don't agree with it being in RPGs.

I prefer seeing the progression of my character, since that's kind of a main thing in RPGs.
