I approve of this manner of gift.This. Also, it's good to see a government being proud enough of a studio to present its game as a gift. Now, how long until we can see Obama's review?
I want proof of this, because this sounds amazingcan you read polish? http://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/Wiadomosci/1,80271,9684341,Prezent_Tuska_dla_Obamy__iPad_z__Katedra__Baginskiego.html
says The President got an iPad and the game. :D
@OracleXIII: I get the gist at least xD that's pretty rad

Well it's a bit on the fun side, however, is it really something you'd give a president?Yes, yes it is. Although I'm not from Poland, I understand that The Witcher is quite important there, so... I definitely approve of this. Would it be any different if he would be given a book? No, but somehow media will still want to tear it apart because it's a video game.
@OracleXIII said:The idea is a good one. My issue here (if even that) is that giving a video game to the president could be misread: "video games are for children, therefore the polish government thinks Obama is a child, so better give him a toy lest he involves himself in actual politics". @OracleXIII said:why does it have to be one or the other?Well it's a bit on the fun side, however, is it really something you'd give a president?Nintendo once sent Bush a DS and a copy of Brain Age as a (I believe) Christmas gift. Sending Bush a copy of Brain Age: Promotional stunt, or sneaky jab? You decide!

President Obama: How much boning is in this game?
Polish PM: Quite a bit, Mr. President.
President Obama: Fuck yeah.
Then the Irish President had a better gift:

Ha, reminds me of this:
"The Prime Minister [Gordon Brown] gave Mr Obama an ornamental pen holder made from the timbers of the Victorian anti-slave ship HMS Gannet. The unique present delighted Mr Obama because oak from the Gannet's sister ship, HMS Resolute, was carved to make a desk that has sat in the Oval Office in the White House since 1880. Mr Brown also handed over a framed commission for HMS Resolute and a first edition of the seven-volume biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert."
Obama gave him some DVDs.
Ha, reminds me of this:lol. They're just slapping each other in the face.

@valrog said:Its less that for me because I think that perception is changing, I just don't know how good of an idea it is to give the President a game filled with gore and tits. I have no problem with gore or tits but it doesn't seem to be something I'd give a President of a foreign nation.@OracleXIII said:The idea is a good one. @Marz said:Wonder if the president has a rig powerful enough to play on ultra :)I'm sure he can head over to NORAD and play it there with no problems. hehe.
I am reminded of when Obama gave the Queen of England an Ipod. it's only a matter of time until dignitaries stop at spencers gifts on the way to the meeting and get each other funny shot glasses. I, for one, approve.
Nah (unfortunately), actually there was a big article about this earlier this week. This year the Obama's gave the Royal family (and many other dignitaries) all personalized stuff, staying away from the electronics and other stuff simply usable by today's normal-people standards.
The best thing to ever come out of Poland is that video game....
well the kerosene lamp was pretty useful, but The Witcher is also...
