I don't know if it's my setup or what, but sometimes voices are so quiet I can't even hear them, and sometimes they are incredibly loud, usually when they become loud they sound really bad, like a tinny sound. Anybody else running into this?

Sound Issues on 360?
I don't have any issues and I've been playing the game quite a bit. I haven't touched any of the sound options at all. Are you playing with the game installed? Like seriously the only sound issue I have had in my probably 20 hours with the game so far was once when someone started talking during a loading screen.

I'm not getting the issue at all. Mines installed so maybe that's why? Not sure.Nope. I've got it installed too, and almost every voice in the game is really loud and has a lot of clipping.
Wow this is bananas. Really??? I haven't had a single hitch in the sound... the only thing that could be different is that I have the Dark Edition, but I highly doubt that would affect anything. Same copies of the discs. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe clear your 360's cache? That probably wouldn't help either but it's worth a shot. I have no idea why some peoples would be this bad and others flawless.

@CL60: It's got to do with uneven mixing between the various elemets. Just do what @Marz suggested and it should solve the problem.
Yeah, I turned music and sound effects down a bit and it seemed to fix it for the most part, or at least it's not as noticeable as before.

I had the same problem in the transition part between chapter 2 to chapter 3 where you have the option to occupancy someone to a certain destination. He kept talking the whole time but could barely hear him due to that uneven mixing. I guess someone forgot to check the Normalize option when doing the final mix.
For me I just barely hear Geralt. Everyone else sounds pretty clear but it's as if they wanted to accentuate his low growly voice and overdid it. Like others had suggested I just lowered music and sound effects to 6 while voice stayed at 10 but still Geralt is sometimes impossible to hear. Not a huge deal but they still have some patching to do I think.
I haven't heard much issues in the audio, except for some weird crackling sounds in chapter 2 and the battle music wouldn't stop in one scenario, but a simple restart helped, so that was most likely a bug. I use the Razer Chimaera 5.1 through optical cable directly to the Xbox.
