    anyways, i've since finished the game. it had its flaws, but i enjoyed it.

    I guess the "proper" way to use them is to set up a bunch of traps and then put up a lure behind the traps so that the enemies run through the traps.  

    Never used them myself, though...

    Chances are they are used to draw monsters out of their set patrol paths. Again..lure a monster to a trap so you can ambush them. Does not seem that complicated.

    I was assuming it was sorta like RDR lure, where you use it to make creatures spawn. So if you need nekker hearts and cba to find nekkers you buy a lure go out in the wilds and plop it down.

    You simply place them down and if there are any creatures in the vicinity whom the lures affect then they will become supposed with the lure for a time instead of attacking you.

    It's simple to see how they work if you take the Rebels path in chapter 2, there is a side quest where you have to use lures on harpies.

    the harpies quest doesn't count.
