I was never that much into Witchers, but would've definetly given it a go on PS4. Guess I still can, but...y'know.

Well, that's a bummer. I've never been into the witcher games either, but it sure looked neat. I'm not really surprised though.
My knee jerk reaction was to be really bummed out, but this is a good thing. With how ambitious they are planning to make the final game I feel like CD Project should take as much time as possible.

Same here and it gives me more time to upgrade my PC.

This is the first thing that came to mind. I'm super glad that I don't have to buy a new video card until next year.

I guess they're also banking on the fact that the hardware install base, both of capable enough PCs, as well as PS4s and Xbox Ones, will be tens of millions stronger by 2015, especially if they shoot for a Holiday season release. In 2014 it'll be like a combined 10-15 million potential customers on new gen consoles at best. Plus again that in high end PCs. Where-as that market will likely more than double in size by 2015.
Of course they put half the team on that CyberFuck game scheduled for 2015 and now the third Witcher has to be delayed.
Fiiiiine.. I'm sure the delay will make it even more polished and amazing. 11 months is not a long time.
Given how we'd heard relatively little about this game so far, I'm not entirely surprised. But, as I say every time something gets delayed, they can take as long as they want if it ultimately makes for a better product.
Welp. At least I don't have to upgrade my PC for another year! Also CDPR can take a much time as they god damn well please. I'll be here.
Witcher 2 wasn't my cup of tea because of the level design and Witcher 3 seemed like it would be more open world. Oh well I can wait, Dragon Age 3 looks promising at least, maybe that could tide me over until then. When was their Cyberpunk game due? Also 2015?
Dragon Age better pull through. I played through Neverwinter Nights again recently for a lack of good fantasy RPGs to play. I need something new.
Bad news: 2014 just became a pretty sparse year in terms of promising new releases, at least as far as I'm concerned.
Good news: This will probably mean that Witcher 3, which by all accounts sounds super ambitious, will be released as a tighter, more complete product, and that is nothing but a good thing. Plus, it gives me more time to finally getting round to playing Witcher 2.

There's a lot riding on CD Projekt Red with the Witcher 3. This game could possibly close the studio if it doesn't sell well, so it makes sense for it to be as polished as possible. They almost lost it after Witcher 2 (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-06-seeing-red-the-story-of-cd-projekt).
Yeah it looks like it's going to finally be time to upgrade my single GTX 470 at the end of the year in anticipation for Witcher 3. Big fan of the the first two.
It sucks but for me personally I'm glad because it gives me more time to play the first two, I haven't wanted to play them for years now but just keep pushing them back but I want to knock them out before 3's release. I do want to do the Vinny treatment and read the book before I play the games also so I have a lot ahead of me.
