Hatred of or discrimination of, magic and those who practice it. A common element in darker works of Sword and Sorcery Fantasy settings, though real-life witch hunts also repeatedly occurred throughout history out of a fear of witchcraft.
The evil horde of twisted beings that, under the leadership of an Archdemon, threaten all of Thedas once every few hundred years, in the form of a Blight. They are essentially generic fantasy orcs, goblins, and trolls, lumped together as one race and given different names.
Dragons were originally messengers from heaven, according to early Buddhist texts. In games, they can be among the most fearsome of adversaries, but there are some exceptions.

Humans are bipedal, sapient primates capable of abstract reasoning, language, and emotions.
The Legion of the Dead is a dwarven warrior faction in Dragon Age committed to fighting in the Deep Roads to their deaths.
