finally THQ has a real plan to save itself, it badly needs capital, and the burn rate was so bad they would have never gotten out of the hole by themselves. Darksiders 2 could have sold 5 million copies and they'd still would have been in major trouble. The alternative would have been a continued slow drawn out death, where studios and properties would have been dropped one by one.

by declaring bankruptcy, wiping out the common equity and some of the debts as well getting private equity capital they will give the game we care about and the developers a fighting chance to survive.
