If there is ever a point where THQ falls apart I just hope that Relic makes it out in one piece.

THQ Still Planning on Releasing Games In 2014, Despite What You Might Have Heard

Somewhat related, here in the UK it has been impossible to find a copy of Saints Row: The Third for about three weeks now. I spoke with one employee of my local Game, who said it's the same with all THQ games at the moment: they're just not printing enough, possibly owing to the cost.
Amazon.co.uk has all three versions in stock:

Wait. Isn't there ALREADY a Warhammer MMO out? I swear I bought it... =(
The one mentioned here is Warhammer 40k, not just Warhammer.
Wow, I didn't like Marcus from Gametrailers before, but now I dislike him even more. "Kevin is my friend so obviously he would be more correct than someone representing the company you are talking about" is not a legitimate defense.
Rumors say one thing, THQ says another. Until proven otherwise by hard evidence, rumors no longer mean anything. End of story. Why would THQ even start canceling games for 2014? Most of them probly haven't even started production, even if the license if already there.

The best part is the fact that Marcus is the most abrasive, snarky guy on GameTrailers that, granted as poor as that community is, has not been that popular among the GT users. He would often just say "yah that game is balls whatever" if he didn't like something and often comment how he doesn't care that other people are bothered by his shitty attitude - and he's telling Alex he should have been more professional and less snarky.
@Humanity: Good point, I can't stand Marcus so I didn't even think that far into the issue. Extreme snark is exactly the type of personality he emits. Marcus chastises Alex over having a similar "attitude" when his friend is the one on the receiving end, however. He's a pure jerk.
I can't even bother to listen to Gametrailers podcasts anymore because I hate hearing Marcus and Shane (the top editor at GT) talk.
I love that somehow this news article served as a means to tell people a Warhammer 40k MMO is being made.
We've only known that forever.

What movie is that thumbnail from? I can tell that the guy on the left is bill murray, but that's all.
On topic, holy balls! THQ is one of the few publishers I actually really like.
Alex said it in the article: Candyman.
The guys head is a photoshopped Brian Farrell - CEO of THQ
EDIT: Derp, I didn't read your post properly
"it's true what you heard...THQ has no dick."
Seriously though, I hope this isn't true. THQ actually does put out good stuff and I also don't want Relic and the 40K license picked up by someone like Activision. I wouldn't care if the 40K mmo gets scrapped as that thing sounds terrible, at least from a 40K fan perspective.
I only care about Saints Row. I'm not sure what I'd do if that series got gobbled up and spat out by EA :'(

@Makoto_Mizuhara_Sakamoto: I'm sorry, but that image is totally lost on me.
Also, I appreciate you doing work at 1AM, Alex. 'Specially when Candyman is involved.
Ever heard of the term 'yandere'?
@AlexanderSheen said:
Thank you Alex for being awesome.
@Makoto_Mizuhara_Sakamoto: Why did you do that? I don't want to see or hear anything about Mirai Nikki, that's poison for me.
But the yandere is calling out to you... OBEY!!!!!!
Im hoping that this is some Gorddon Geko type shit, releasing possible false news to bottom out the stock only to be bought up in large quantities but some shady ass shell company, only to have the stock rebound some and make some serious dough.
.... I should call a stock broker.
I had hoped Saints Row 3 did well for them, as Volition should be paid for that bit of awesome. So the publisher of one of Giantbomb's top 3 games of the year (and my own), who also brought solid titles like WW All Stars and Warhammer, is in financial trouble. While Mario and Sonic at the Olympics sells like gangbusters. It's times like these where I wonder "Why was I happy gaming went mass market?".
This rumor was fucking stupid and came out of nowhere. THQ has never had a more promising stable of titles than recently - Darksiders, Saint's Row, UFC/WWE (especially All Stars), Warhammer, Homefront, etc. I have no idea where this rumor came from, but it was stupid and I'm glad THQ is putting an end to it.

I haven't seen SNL in years but holy fucking shit is it in the complete cat shit dept.
You're a moron. If you haven't seen it, than don't form an opinion on it.

glad to hear the situation is not nearly as fucked as the internet hysteria made it out to be.
The internet? Blowing things grossly out of proportion and taking rumor and innuendo at face value? Get the fuck out! Next thing you know, you'll be telling me the world is round. Lies, I tell you, ALL LIES!

I don't see why you need to insult Dent.
I see good reasons for it; starting a false rumour that affects a productive company.. not cool.
Of course THQ would say none of it's true so you can't really trust their word for it. And Kevin was just tweeting a rumour he had heard. Are people not allowed to do that anymore?

You can do it, however I do think it's unethical and irresponsible.
I would love to see another open-world destructable Environment game like Red Faction: Guerilla. Unfortunately I don't see it happening. Still planning to get Saint's Row: The Third, but haven't yet.
