I ask because my copy of de Blob keeps freezing on me in this one part of the game, so I asked them for a new disc. Have you dealt with them before? Will they give me a new copy?

You'll never know until you try!
edit: Scrap that, misread the post. I'm not sure if they'll give you a new disc -- they may tell you to get in contact with Nintendo, as they might blame your console rather than the disc.
