Throne of Darkness

Gameplay:

The game allows you to control four of seven samurais at the same time. This lets you decide yourself just how you want to fight your battles. There are three multiplayer modes, which up to 35 players can take part in.

Story:

You find yourself in a dark medieval place in Japan, called Yamato.

Yamato is ruled by an evil emperor who turned into a dark warlord, Zanshin. Zanshin controls a vast army of darkness which only serves a single purpose, to conquer entire Yamato. Only the seven samurais (from either Mori, Tokugawa, Toyotomi and Oda) can stop him.

Samurais:

There are seven samurais, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

There is the Swordman, who obviously excells at sword combat. He can use up to 2 swords, in addition to bow and arrow.

The Archer, uses bows and arrows and he can use different throwing weapons (Shuriken and kunai). He can also wield a sword.

The Brick, a master in close-combat. He uses Tetsubu and naginatas, in addition to swords.

The Wizard, has the abillity to use several powerful spells.

The Berserker, is a mix of the Brick and the Swordman. Possesses a fear spell which makes enemies flee.

The Ninja, a master in ninjutsu as well as throwing weapons.

The Leader, the leader of the samurais. He has strong charisma and a mix of skills taken from all the other samurais.

This game is very similar to the Diablo games. A lot of the people who worked on this game worked on Diablo 1 also.
