Voice commands suck they never work well and often dont work at all.

Man that is probly the worste idea I have heard all day. One, let the developer do their thing, two, voice command = shit and three, I dont think we need another FPS, there is plenty of them out there.

and how would you move with 1 thumbstick anyway? strafing and turning are achieved with different sticks.

I thought Rainbow Six: Raven Shield has some form of voice control. You could get your fix there. As for what you have suggested, I’m not to sure I would want to shoot fire all the time.

Small internet petitions to change a genre of a game 6 months before it's release never seem to work. It's sad i know :-(

Ubisoft has enough FPS (GRAW/RS/BIA) to saturate the market. I think this a good attempt to corner the RTS market but I don't think the current staff at Ubisoft have the ability to comprehend what it means to support and fully develop a game without screwing it up in some way.
