Conviction isn't out yet! What's up with you and posting things about Splinter Cell Conviction which none of us know? It comes out in 3 weeks!

    I liked Pandora Tomorrow though.

Pandora Tomorrow, because the multiplayer blew me away.  Chaos Theory for the single player though.

I'm going with Chaos Theory - the graphics at the time were absolutely stunning, the campaign was great and the multi player epic. that's the last one from Ubi Montreal too. Conviction will be their first SC since then, so I'm quiet excited.

I didn't mean to make you upset! I just think it's funny that you're so pumped about Conviction that you're posting so much about it :P I'm excited about the game too, I loved the demo.

Chaos Theory so far, but I never played PT, maybe I'll try it out. Conviction looks really fun and the demo was very good, so maybe that'll be my new fave.

Chaos Theory. The pacing and narrative is so well done, and the changes they made to gameplay made it much more seamless than the first two. It's a bit dated now, but at the time it was something special.

As much as i love Chaos Theory the first game will always be my favorite, so many great levels. Also Sam's Badass suit never made a return after the second game.

Pandora Tomorrow has my favorite multiplayer of every game ever. I don't think it will ever be beaten. If you don't know what I'm talkin' about, then you never will. You had to be there.

I know a lot of people are going to think I'm crazy, but I enjoyed Double Agent a great deal more than any of the others.

Since the verdict is still out on Conviction I'll make this my order.

Chaos Theory, Double Agent, Original, Pandora.

Thats not to say I didn't think Pandora was great. However, the campaign got very very frustrating and required alot more trail and error than before. Train level is still one of my favorite levels in the franchise though.

Personal favourite to least favourite, top to bottom:

    Chaos Theory
    Splinter Cell 1
    Double Agent
    Pandora Tomorrow

Chaos Theory cannot be beat. It is the absolute epitome of that kind of stealth game. I think the recent action/stelath gameplay that's in stuff like Arkham Asylum and Conviction is a reaction to the fact Chaos Theory took that old style of stealth game to it's absolute logical perfection. I don't see how you can top it, and I'm pleased Ubisoft isn't trying to with Conviction.

eclipsecdn, you do know that the Xbox 1 version of Double Agent (NOT the 360 Version) was made by Ubisoft Montreal? I'm playing through it now, on the last level. It works on 360 backwards compatibility, but from what I hear there wasn't many copies produced, so it can be hard to locate.

To answer the OP question, Chaos Theory for me was without a doubt the best splinter cell game to date, and possibly within my top 5 games of all time. It's story was perfect, the levels where amazing and so well paced, graphics and controls just really smooth, I have so many fond memories of that game. I'll have to play through it again now I've started thinking about it!

Chaos Theory, it's a near perfect game. They took everything great about the original Splinter Cell and improved it, added some neat stuff like the knife... and made it look stunning. To date, I think CT has the best night vision mode of any game out there.

I'm feeling a little crazy, so I'¨m going with:
    original> chaos theory> Pandora tomorrow> double agent.

though i didn't finish up double agent, and have only played it on some occasions.
going back to the original is still as awesome to me now, as it was the first time i did it.

So is everyone aware that Double Agent on Xbox 1 and Double Agent on Xbox 360 are COMPLETELY different games? I've just finished the Xbox 1 version and it was nothing like the 360 game at all.

chaos theory for me, since conviction isn't out yet, I can't really say at the end of this month if it's the best.

    1 (By Far). Chaos Theory
    2. Double Agent
    3. SC
    4. Pandora Tomorrow

I've played through every game multiple times, and have probably made it through chaos theory a good 12 times at this point.
