I beat the game on realistic on my first play through and I found the hardest part was in front of the White house with the gas tanker. I started counting after about fifteen minutes of fail and I restarted 56 times.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction
Game » consists of 20 releases. Released Apr 13, 2010
Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell franchise. Sam Fisher breaks apart from the Third Echelon in order to find the people responsible for the death of his daughter, only to find that not everything is what it seems.
Hardest part in the game.
I did that pretty easily by having a spy cam glued on the truck attracting guards to it and blowing it up...
I honestly never really had any major hard parts on realistic, because if i got stuck i'd just start chucking everything that explodes at everything i saw moving lol. The trickiest part for me was after i met the VP and all the SC's came out of the wall. But once i started the nade chucking it was super easy.
I found what I called the "Hardest parts of the game" changed after a few more replays. Honestly when the developer said to us, if you're having trouble getting through certain areas, you're just not looking hard enough. And he's right, for the most part of the game he is right, I found so many ways around that I never noticed deeper in the game.
Though I did find the helicopter battle hard and the rush outside the white house.
The most diificult bit for me was the infiltration of third echelon, I found that car park a nightmare
I think I died a few times when the enemy Splinter Cell's first appeared in Third Echelon and at the part mentioned above after the VP interrogation. But then I realized that not even the best trained soldier can dodge remote mine and frag grenade spam, which I found to be a hell of a lot more effective that carefully sneaking around and death from above-ing people.
I gotta echo the White House battle after the VP. And I also beat it by just chucking any grenade I had left and right until there were only a couple dudes left. Not very satisfying, but recommended nonetheless.
" The hardest part for me was after you incap the new vice president and all the splinter cells bust down the door. That fight sucked. "This one by far, there are a lot of guys to take out.
"Agreed. That part was pure BS, hated it. After you got in and went all crazy tho, then it got fun. The sneaking around was just frustratingit was all kinda easy. i think my hardest part was inside third echelon

" @Ryax said:oh my god i loved that part. i was just running back either blowing dudes away or punching the shit out of them. it was so bad ass."Agreed. That part was pure BS, hated it. " For me, the only tricky bits were the helicopter battle, and inside the White House when you get flashbanged and rushed. "Oh god i hate that level. And i also hate where you have to sneak in to HQ to go to grim office.
I had a bit of trouble with the stealth bit in the garage of the Third Echelon at first, but it was really just trial and error until I figured out their patterns enough.
If I had to say the hardest part, it would be after interrogating the VP as previously mentioned. Took me a few to get a handle on how to solve that dilemma. Lets just say pipe + remote mines + grenades = win.

Honestly, that part should have been more flexible
Yeah, that part surprised me a little bit. After I died the first couple of times, I started by running towards the room on the right, threw a flash bang, melee one of the guys and then assassinated the others. After that, I just picked off the guys who came into or near the room. For the others on the other side of the big room w/ the VP, I locked onto them and assassinated them."
