Splinter Cell!

SC: conviction is wholesome fun. the new stealth mechanics are fast and just fun to use. while i love the new high speed mechanics, i cant help but miss the old splinter cell. When it comes to stealth games, im a perfectionist., and when i played the old splinter cell, i would gladly restart an area to get it perfect, i felt like a bad ass. With conviction i tend to get sloppy and rush through for a reason i can't even put my finger on. Anyways, I'm enjoying the new SC, but there will always be a place in my heart for the more classicall stealth game and i hope they one day make their return. Im about half way through and plan on writing my first GB review after being here from day one.
Question: did you enjoy old SC games, do you enjoy this one?

I've played and completed all the previous splinter cell games and enjoyed them. Mostly because I am a perfectionist and the stealth genre rewards players who prefer playing the same level over and over until we complete it without detection. I've been playing Conviction since it came out this Tuesday and so far the game is spectacular with the addition of its new features, but also more forgiving to the player who likes to run and gun. I don't enjoy playing that way, I'd rather spend 15 minutes scouting out a room and then deciding whether to take out an enemy or let one live to discover his comrades have all died... besides thats how the legend of Sam Frisher spreads you leave one poor bastard to recount how he brutally murdered your boys. To me that has always been the beauty of SC franchise  to decide how to approach the game and determine the date of your enemies.
