Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell franchise. Sam Fisher breaks apart from the Third Echelon in order to find the people responsible for the death of his daughter, only to find that not everything is what it seems.
1st playthrough I didn't shoot him, second I shot his ass, but despite playing BOTH playthrough on HARD my achievement did not unlock so I don't care anymore and fuuuuuuck you ubisoft.
I shot him. The character dilemma is pretty fantastic. I can't say I've seen what happens when Sam doesn't shoot, but it says that despite everything he has been through there's still a human side left to him as well. (AKA the entire conflict between Batman and the Joker) Generally that's considered the moral high ground. However I like to view it as by shooting him, Sam realizes that he'll never truly be rid of his violent memories but will now be able to accept himself. "Conviction" is a really great title.
