Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction
Game » consists of 20 releases. Released Apr 13, 2010
Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell franchise. Sam Fisher breaks apart from the Third Echelon in order to find the people responsible for the death of his daughter, only to find that not everything is what it seems.
Wait it out for pc version or get the xbox version??
" it's a console game "It's also a PC game.
In fact, it was developed entirely on a PC.
" @trophyhunter said:He is saying its gonna be best on 360" it's a console game "It's also a PC game. In fact, it was developed entirely on a PC. "
I think people are being closed minded here...
but I agree with @iAmJohn:
Though personally I'll stick it out for the PC version (and not just because I don't have a 360 at this specific moment in time)
" You should learn to use better grammar. "hiz grammer wuz pritty gud i think. u iz dumb.
" Yes the only problem with the PC version is that it is going to use that horrid DRM from Ubisoft. Get the xbox version for your sanity. "Somebody who owns a 360 probably has a constant internet connection. XBL is pretty much an incentive-based DRM that you pay for, after all.
" I was going to say get it on PC if you have a good one and a 360 controller, but if that shitty DRM is still in effect, then nooooooooooo. "I agree.
I'd say 360 if you've got Gold, otherwise get on PC cuz then you can play Co-Op as well as single-player.
Differences:
360 version releases on the 13th.
Only runs at Res: 1024x576.
PC version releases on the 27th.
Contains Ubisoft DRM. Ugh.
Based on your desire to deal with DRM or not and convenience to play with friends for the coop, it's probably the more logical and safer bet to go with the 360 version.
Most people seem to recommend the console version, and a good amount of people that say PC also suggest using a controller. I have to agree, Splinter Cell is very much a game that should be played with analog sticks and rumble and that's pretty much the biggest thing for me as far as what I want to play it on. If I had that usb dongle thingy that lets your wireless 360 controller hook up to your pc I'd think harder about getting it on PC mostly cause I could then Fraps some interesting footage (I like recording things for no reason).
