Overview
Released in November 15, 2005, Tony Hawk's American Sk8land is an installment of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series on the Nintendo DS and the Gameboy Advance.The Nintendo DS version of the game was the first Tony Hawk game on the Nintendo DS and the first 3rd party game to take advantage of Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.Gameplay
The gameplay of the game is similar to the console version of Tony Hawk with one subtraction, the ability to get off the skateboard was removed. The graphics style is cel-shaded.Some of the levels from the console version of the DS game but the level-design was different from the console version; for example, the Hollywood level was actually bigger than the console version of the level.The game also takes advantage of the DS capabilities; such as the microphone, were you can recored any sounds for a second and have it as the sound-effect for the specials.Another capabilities the game takes advantage is the touch screen for the specials; the way it's done by touch one of the three icons on the touch screen to perform the special and another icon to do the slow-motion.The touch screen is also use for creating the design on your skateboard.Soundtrack list
