In order to create and promote the NTT mode, a bunch of known skaters came together for an MTV event of them demonstrating the mode, and how it is created.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 is the first game in the Tony Hawk series built from the ground up for next-gen consoles. The game has features such as Nail-The-Trick mode, as well as graphical details like Bloom HDR lighting and ragdoll physics.
Overview
This marks the 8th Game in the Tony Hawk's Series. The Game features a open world with no load times to skate in (360 & PS3). You must rank in the Top 8 of all Skaters to be part of Tony's Project 8 Skate team. You must prove your skating skills through competitions and events proving to the pros you are good enough to be in the top 8. The game features a all new ragdoll physics engine and more. The biggest notable new feature is the Nail-The-Trick moves which you use the analong sticks to control your own Board.Nail the trick
Nail the trick mode was the largest new addition in the game, and added replay value. Criticism/Controversy
Some controversy was made when people discovered that they are not able to pick their sponsors (like in previous games), and instead just prompted with a sponsor whenever they reached a certain level. This caused the players to think that some brands are more preferable then the others, not because of performance, but because they are forced to switch to them in some point in the game. Known skate brands such as element, and almost have responded to this, reporting that they did not know that this will happen, and they rather prefer the player being able to pick which way to go.Soundtrack
