I felt brave and decided to pick this "epic" up.
Is there anything that I should keep in mind while rolling through this or any tips?
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Aug 19, 2008
You know what? It's not nearly as horrible as people said it was. And yeah...difference of opinion and all that but people seemed quite annoyed at Dyack and wanted this game to burn. it's not the best game but it's far from the worst or the most boring game I played. It has cool ideas actually. The menus are a bit clunky and slow to load. I actually found the battle quite fun, very fluid. What does this game cost today? 10-20 dollars? It's worth it.
Go to the in game store, click the dlc tab, look at it, then look towards the sky slowly shaking your head back and forth while trying to hold back a tear/laughter.
Also the game is only like 4 levels long and encourages replaying levels while also being very loot focused (it's basically a console diablo). You're probably not going to get much out of the game if you don't enjoy the loot part.
Just....dont let the loot get to you. *involuntary tick* I let the loot get to me *tick* raaagh......Must.....Add red rune so my shots becomes caustic NAAAGHH!!! *ticks* epic loot! full plasma!! Everything *Ticks* dies in one hit........I still played NAAGAH!! 120hours!......................then i accidentally wiped my hard drive. Traded it in. I profited it. I bought it for £3 I traded it in for £5!........then 8 months later two friends got into it and I re bought the same sealed copy that has been sitting in the shop for three years, same shop i traded my copy in to. I buaght that copy for!! £5....never played it much since I was so gimped and then I traded it in...for MORE PROFIT! £7 to another shop!

Any class recommendations?
I played the dude with a gun, unsure why it existed since the analog stick combat was a big focus of the game. Regardless he was overpowered and I had no problem doing anything in the game as him.
I'd say though just pick whatever you want. Unless you're going after achievements (don't do that please) the game is pretty damn easy.
Honestly this is the only exclusive I miss from not having an Xbox anymore. That must make me some kind of crazy person.
I think I remember a valid tip. If you're going melee, keep your stick motions fluid. Don't rapidly click all over the place like Diablo (for some reason I did this in the back half of the game, and made it way harder for myself than it needed to be). Hold in the direction of your first target, then smoothly roll the stick around to the direction of the next target, this maximizes your damage and minimizes the chance that some cyber-goblin will interrupt your combo.

I'll second this. Along with Two Worlds, it's one of those games that's no where near as bad as some people make out. There's a lot of jankyness, but if you're willing to look past it, and put in a bit of effort, there's a decent gameplay experience.

I really need to pay attention and check my spelling before I hit the damn post button. I have a flipping college degree, I should know better lol
Naw, you're fine. It makes sense if you read it in the Ice T voice.
Oh and dont die through an entire level and you have a 15% extra chance to get elite loot. And put loot % on all your gear it maxes at 50% I think...so don't put more than that on your guy.
Also make sure to complete runes and equip them I and many other people dont get that till too many hours into the game.
