Cartoon characters are personas from cartoons, which are animated moving sequences that are usually drawn but can be computer animated and can come from television, movies, anime or even the web. They can be humans, animals, or even things usually not thought of as living.
Cartoon physics refers to games which do not conform to regular physics, but the "laws" are for a humorous bent rather than conforming to reality. Sometimes it ignores physical laws, like gravity, or tweaks them, like not being totally blown away by dynamite.

Cold-blooded aquatic animals that have scales and breathe through gills.
A frameup, or framing, is when someone tries to convince people someone else committed a crime. It could be in the form of leaving false clues or giving out false information.
FMVs are pre-rendered videos used in place of real-time graphics. Using FMV was an attempt to make videogames look "more like movies", sometimes with CGI animation and others with live-action actors speaking directly to players. The downside is that FMV requires a lot of disk space, and live-action FMV in particular can look terrible by comparison.
A digital distribution platform that focuses on providing DRM-free computer games, both old and new.
Graphics in games whether backgrounds or characters that are hand drawn whether using a pen graphics tablet or a scan of a physical drawing.

A situation where it is hard to tell which parts of the game world can be interacted with, and which are just for show. Mostly associated with point-and-click adventure games, where players often respond by clicking wildly around the screen until they find something.
Point and click is an interface featured in a specific kind of adventure game, where players click on objects and characters to interact with them.
Often appearing in role-playing games, the reluctant hero starts out not wanting to fight, but ends up getting drawn into the conflict nonetheless. If not forced into it against their will, they are often motivated by love, honor, or a sense of righteousness.
