    Torchlight MMO (Working Title)

    A Torchlight MMO was announced by Runic Games shortly after the original Torchlight. It was indefinitely delayed in favor working on Torchlight II. When Runic later returned to the Torchlight franchise, a more MMO-like game was conceptualized, but that became Torchlight III instead.

    A Torchlight MMO is currently being developed by Runic Games who created the first Torchlight game for PC. The original game was meant to be a test run for the MMO, which would be free to play, but have a store with items for purchase.

    The Torchlight MMO was indefintely delayed as the developers are putting their efforts towards a sequel to the first game, Torchlight II. After Runic completed work on Hob, a different concept for a more MMO-like Torchlight entered development, but was later scrapped and/or repurposed into a more traditional Torchlight III.

    The original MMO concept from 2010 is considered vaporware at this point.
