    Torchlight is a Diablo-style action RPG from Runic Games. The game features three classes, randomly generated dungeons, and lots and lots of loot.

    Won't let me allocate skill points?

    I've gained several levels in Torchlight and have several class points to spend, but when I open the skills menu, it doesn't seem to allow me to allocate those points.  What am I missing?

    You do know that skills and skill upgrades have character level requirements, right? For example, you might be able to unlock Ice Shock lvl 1 when your Alchemist is lvl 5, but you won't be able to upgrade it to lvl 2 until your Alchemist is lvl 6. It says what level is required to unlock/upgrade a skill it in the lower right corner of the skill description window that pops up when you hover over a skill icon.
     
    Oh, and you unlock/upgrade a skill by clicking the little plus sign under a skill icon.
     
    If none of this solves your problem then I guess you might've run into some kind of bug...
