New Rome 2 In-Game Footage from Gamespot!

#1 Edited by MocBucket62 (1159 posts) -

Hey if anyone is getting excited for Total War Rome II, Gamespot has an exclusive walkthrough of the Battle of Teutoburg Forest over at their site. Here's the video from their youtube channel. This is the first time that Creative Assembly is showing off true gameplay footage as we see pre-alpha gameplay during the battle. We see how commands are done and get a better look at how the tactical map works during a battle.

Also on a side note, this came out today on my birthday so thanks Creative Assembly for this gift!

Graphics are gorgeous. The tactical view is something I've wanted in the Total War games for a while, that's a great addition.

Can't wait for it.

Man, they REALLY upped the audio work in this one. The battles just sound so intense now between the music, all of the men fighting and screaming and the way they yell their understanding when you select your units or send them out.

Now lets just hope the map music is as good. Honestly I hope they put a few of the old tracks in. Maybe modders can do that if they don't.

I want my Romans to speak latin, that irked me something fierce about this. Everyone regardless of their faction yelling in English doesn't make sense to me. Hoping for a toggle!
