Just how lazy is the PS3 port?

It is horrible. I believe the first game looks better than this one. The visuals are a mess. Anyone else notice how this game looks like trash on a PS3?

"Anyone else notice... anyone???"

I rented it and I have to agree that it does look bad on the PS3, and I usually don't care about graphics. It kind of looked like a PS2 game.

It looks worse than a Commodore 64 game?

I don't like the texture pop-in at all, and it can sometimes be difficult to see your enemies when it all kicks off, but I wouldn't call it a 'mess'.

I just finally got around to finishing the game, maybe my eyes are broken, but I had the exact opposite impression fwiw.

There were some nasty texture pop ins a few times during gameplay, but I thought the game looked good otherwise.
