    Until all are one 3

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron continues the story from War for Cybertron as the Autobots attempt to flee their dying planet. While the core game remains mostly intact from the original there have been enough changes this series another look. The campaign follows the story of both the Autobots and Decepticons but this time is told through a more cohesive timeline. No longer are there separate Autobot and Decepticon campaigns but rather the entire story is told through individual characters. This...

Builds on its predecessor, but not always in the right way 0

It wouldn’t be hyperbolic to suggest that Transformers: War for Cybertron is the best Transformers game to date. That doesn’t necessarily speak of its quality since the popular robotic toyline and multi-billion dollar movie franchise doesn’t exactly have the strongest line-up when it comes to video game tie-ins, but that’s also not to say War for Cybertron is purely the best of a bad bunch - there’s just definite room for improvement. Fortunately High Moon Studios is back with the sequel,Transfo...

    "Till all are one" 0

In the past decade or so, fans of the treasured Transformers series haven't had the most noble of adaptations in regards to video games. Despite the massive popularity that Michael Bay's Transformers trilogy has garnered, the video game spin-off's have done little to pay homage to the beloved characters that they are based on. Not until High Moon Studios took control of the franchise and brought it back to it's roots with 2010's War for Cybertron. It was received with a relatively positive react...

The old model gets upgraded but little else 0

Despite games such as Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum, licensed games tend to fall into 2 categories: they're god awful and easily phoned in and cashing in on the latest movie or TV craze. And then there's the others where they're just decent and nothing too offensive but just enough to at least be playable and people can get some enjoyment out of it. High Moon made a surprising entry into the rare 3rd category where it's not only a good licensed game period but a good game just by itsel...

    So many levers! 0

Fall of Cybertron takes place right after the first game with the Autobots trying to leave their planet, Cybertron after their war with the Decepticons. It is a desperate time for both factions as the life giving energon is almost completely depleted. The one thing I feel the game does extremely well is the sense of urgency throughout all of the Autobot missions. The game has some really awesome set pieces but moving from combat room to combat room for hours does get very boring. The first game w...

Secret's Short Reviews #001- Transformers: Fall of Cybertron 0

When you ultimately get down to it, Fall of Cybertron is an average game whose biggest draw is the atmosphere itself. As a TF fan, I appreciate the love that High Moon put into this game, once you get around it being a game with giant robots, giant robot cities and giant robot dinosaurs, what you are left with is yet another third person shooter game, albeit one that is catering toward Transformers fans. It is worth playing, but to the degree of which you enjoy the game will highly vary. The sho...

    A noble effort. 0

IntroductionI was a big fan of War for Cybertron, despite it's numerous issues. It was the first Transformers game in a long time to capture that G1 feeling perfectly, with a modern-era HD-sheen. The storyline was effective, and adopted as canon, and the multiplayer had longer legs than anticipated. The sequel kicks off almost immediately after the end of the first and continues the story of the demise of Cybertron and effectively explores the motivations of both factions.Gameplay and graphicsGo...

What a disappointment after the magical WFC 0

Such a disappointing followup to WFC.They took out pretty much all the big epic boss fights from the first game, which were so memorable and fun. The only boss fight you really get is against Bruticus at the end.You think you’ll get to play Megatron and fight Starscream when he proclaims himself the new leader of the Decepticons. But instead you just... fight waves of noname enemies in a giant purple arena. You never actually get a boss fight against Starscream. Unbelievable bullshit. They ...
