    Twisted Metal is a series of car-combat games that lets you destroy vehicles with rockets, flame-throwers, machine guns and dozens of other means. You also got some special moves that are performed like in fighting games, and (like most fighting games) these moves aren't listed anywhere in-game, nor in the manual.

    Why did Twisted Metal 3&4 suck?

    I remember playing 4 and really liking it. You could play as Calypso who could fire nukes! Why did people hate them so much?

    1-2 were made by SingleTrac. 3-4 were made by 989 Studios.

    Maybe it's like how anybody can sing someone else's song, but very few do it as well or better than the original.

    I never played 4, but 3 was really awful. I was way more cartoony than the others and most the stories were played for laughs... and failed. Black is my favorite.

    4 was also awful. Maybe that helped my opinion of Black because Black is my favorite in the series by far.

    I've only played TM2 (though I played a lot of TM2), so I wouldn't know. I just kinda lost track of the series after TM2. I do want to get back myself back in with the new one sometime this year, though.
