Just made an account on GOG for the summer sale and saw that this was offered for free and immediately got nostalgia flashes from years ago.

Great pixel graphics, bunch of weapons and a RPG like system with upgrading weapons and ships with money and tons of secrets (a carrot ship that shoots bananas? now that's bana... *gets smacked on the head*)

Oh and the soundtrack is awesome:

One of the best shmups i ever played.

Did anyone actually play this or is this just a lost gem that never got the attention it deserved? (or maybe I'm just a crazy person and this game sucks)

Tyrian is fantastic; amongst my favourite games ever :D
