Shogun just had that belt stolen from him by judges who were obviously to busy doing other things because Lyoto did not come close to winning that fight, and things like this are whats taking the UFC downhill for me.

It wouldn't be exciting to the mainstream UFC watcher but it was an intelligent fight between two awesome fighters, but Shogun was robbed of the belt and I'm almost thinking of just switching to Strikeforce because of shit like this.

That decision was absolutely dreadful. Machida won Round 3, but the rest of the fight was controlled by Rua. Those constant solid leg kicks did a great job, and Machida could barely walk after the fight (his legs were already swollen beyond belief too).

Almost seemed like a rigged fight.

I really like Machida, but i have to agree, Rua dominated and was robbed of the title. But i guess the judges taught that to win a title match you really have to beat the champ, and that's a question up for debate. Do you need to cripple your opponent for life to win? Or should it be enough to just cripple him for the days or weeks after? If you go by answer one, then Machida maybe still should be the champ. But if you prefer door two then Rua should be the champ.
At the end of the day we should not blame Machida, hes not a judge, and non of hes trainers has any authority. So if we have to blame some one, blame Dana and the others that probably taught Machida brings more cash to the table.
For me, i really dont care, I'll still watch the next spectacle.
