    Hey guys.

    I wanna get myself a Fightstick for this game. But the Street Fighter ones are ridiculously expensive. And so are most other ones.

    But I found this Tekken 6 Bundle thing where you get Tekken 6 and the Stick for £50. I'd pay that for the stick alone, and I already have Tekken 6 anyway.

    Has anyone tried this one, and is it any good? http://nukoda.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/tekken6_arcade_stick_x360.jpg

    I've been looking at sticks too lately too, but I want a custom made one though which range around 200$ or so...everything ive seen have generally been 100$, 200$ if you want it for multiple platforms.

    @DreadAlert:

    The only fightsticks worth buying are expensive. The first one I bought was a $50 Hori EX 2, but after using it for a while I started to recognize its limitations (the buttons were terribly stiff). Then I bought the Street Fighter 4 TE stick for $120 and it is a really good tournament level stick, well worth the money if you play a lot. So just save the money on that cheap stick and buy a good one first.

    The cheapest used TE stick I can find is £95 without packaging.

    Is the difference really that huge between those and the Tekken one?

    I bought a Datel Arcade Pro, tore it to pieces. Bought sanwa parts from here: http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/index.htm. Cost me about £70 total for the base stick and parts.

    Why do this over buying a custom made one? Well aside from having a cheap (it was £70 cheaper than the TE stick for me at the time), custom stick the Arcade Pro PCB is compatible with every modern platform; PC, 360, PS3 (haven't tried it on my Wii though, I would assume it works) unlike every official one. So if you aren't scared of working with electronics you should really consider this method.

    I've heard bad things about the Tekken stick, mostly complaints about the wireless aspect introduces input lag and apparently the quality of the parts is not up to snuff. Look up reviews online before taking the plunge.

    DONT PAY TO MUCH!!!!! Buy the wwe stick and just swap the buttons. You can also change the art on them, they are exactly the same as the old street fighter 4 sticks, just with different art. Here's a tutorial showing how easy it is to mod these sticks. Also don't get the tekken stick, i've heard nothing but bad things about it if you want to customize it.

    Will they be releasing any new sticks? UMVC3 just came out, and next year comes Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

    Thoughts?

    well no, the SFxT stick has already come and gone, and MC is not doing a TE for UMVC3. The next MC stick that is coming out is the Soul Caliber 5 stick.

    The Tekken 6 stick sucks majorly, don't get that.

    Qanba Q4RAF. They are built better than the TE sticks and use Sanwa parts. (also work on PS3-PC-360)

    I've had 3 TEs and now have a Qanba. It's my favourite.

    Edit: If you are open to changing buttons and joysticks then you could find a cheap MadCatz SE and swap the parts with Sanwa. I did that for my first stick, might work out cheap for you.

    @DarthOrange: Better yet, get the Mayflash Arcade stick and swap parts. That's what I did.

    After putting parts in my stick, I realized that it's better just to make one yourself. You can get all the parts you need for $75-100. All you need to do is make a case. You can configure it how you like and make it so that repairs are a relatively simple process. I plan on just making a stick next time I need one.

    Hm.. The WWE Allstars stick is identical to the Madcatz SE stick as far as I know, and you can get one for £25. If I buy a new joystick and 8 new buttons, that's £25-£30 aswell. £50. Which buttons and which joystick?

    Also, I hate the artwork on it. How would you put custom artwork in? Like.. what would you need to print onto/with?

    @DreadAlert: Get a hitbox.

    Or get an SE and mod it with this stick, one of these ball tops, and any combination of these buttons.

    If you want to mod the art, Capcom provided this template in the form of a Photoshop doc. You'll want to print it out on good quality paper then take it to your nearest FedEx Office and have them give it their Lami-Label treatment. This essentially turns it into a giant sticker that you can apply to your fightstick. I would look up a tutorial online because ideally you'll be removing all of the internals before you apply the sticker.

    I got this cheap fight stick once(Blazepro, and it cost me about $20) and it sucked MAJOR ASS! The buttons suck, the thing even broke 3 months after( Even my original model XB360 lasted longer than that!). I even hear reports from the retail store many people returned it after the week they bought it. But I just got the Japanese KOF XII USB Stick which was around $40 and works fine for me right now.

    My suggestion: Try it before you buy it. If you can't, ask others who have bought the product.

    yes, but the new UMvC3 sticks are from hori. and I bet the new SFxT sticks will be hori too.

    everyone is trying to get TEs, but you don't have to stick to madcatz(no pun). hori sticks are just as good and their cheap sticks(VX for xbox and V3 for PS3) are better than the SE/WWE. they go for 60euros here. just don't buy anything wireless or an EX model. also visit the SRK link in the first post.

    anyways, I wouldn't get a stick for this game. if you haven't played on a stick it will take you months to get as good on stick as you are on pad. also marvel doesn't really benefit from a stick. if you still want to get more precision you might want to look at fightpads.

    Okay.

    A modded SE costs around £50-£60 overall. And a TE costs around £100-£160.

    @DreadAlert: so as long as you are fine with the smaller case, and are confident in your ability to modd the stick, I would go with the SE.

    I was gonna order one of those WWE sticks from amazon for PS3 and mod it like I did with the SFIV SE stick for 360 I have. However now they've shot upto £65!!! For the extra price of parts I may aswell get a QanBa Q4-RAF from Gremlin.
