Please don't get all in my face about it but really to me it just looks like another third person cover based shooter mixed with some tomb raider platforming stuff. I already think Gears of War and inFamous is awesome so i got my third person shooter and third person shooter platform so why are people so excited for another third person cover based shooter?

I can't speak for everyone, but for me the story was good enough that I would like to see more of it. Go watch the Quicklook if you want to know more. I didn't, but that's because I don't want it spoiled. If you need reasons I bet there's some juicy stuff in that QL.

You could just play it and find out for yourself. All of us looking forward to the sequel were clueless when the first game was out and we had to find out for ourselves back then, too.
The story, though kind of clicheand 80s-esque, is really enjoyable. The characters are kind of a kick. The gameplay is fun. And the graphics (even in the original) are quite nice.
I couldn't put the first one down and am almost finished playing through it again a couple years later (in preparation for the sequel on Tuesday). That's more than I can say for Gears of War 2, which I became bored of before even finishing it (though I'm sure I'll get around to it some day).

Nothing about that game strikes Indiana Jones to me at all. It looks like some stupid michael bay movie. Just with Helicopters attacking you while you are hanging from a rope. Granted i have only seen the first Indiana Jones movie.

All i ever wanted to be when i was younger was an archaeologist thanks to Indiana Jones, but then reality set in and you find out archeology isn't exactly as it is in Indiana, think less action and more "Time Team". So Uncharted and the early Tomb Raiders to me, where a way to enjoy that fantasy, without digging up bronze age coins and roman vases.

Some people hate calling a game cinematic, but that's exactly what Uncharted is. It's like playing an action movie. A really freaking good action movie. You should really play the game before you finalize your opinion of it.

Then apparently this game isn't for you??? I'd say don't play it.. Everybody seems to like Gears 2 and I can't stand it, different people like different games.. I'd really like to play Uncharted 2 but don't have a PS3. From what I heard there isn't just one thing about the game that people like, but the way that all the gameplay and story elements come together that make a comepletely unique experience, but if that's not your thing then don't worry bout it..

What it does, it seemingly does very well. I saw a long video review on Good Game last night (they gave it 9.5 & 10) and it does look nice, However, I am with you, I didn't play Tomb Raider and these adventure games aren't my thing. This one really doesn't resonate with me. When I get a PS3 and this will be cheap by then, I might give it a go though.
For it to be a bay movie you need explosions to make up for the lack of plot , also you need a camera circling the character in slow motion with or without a helicopter flying overhead.

Well I'm excited because when I was playing the multi, i noticed that the shooting was finely honed. Can't people be excited for a game because of its fun content, even if it isn't there most original game ever. Matter of fact, Gears isnt the most original game either, but it's still fun.

To be honestly I have absolutely no idea. I am only going to buy it because of the high reviews, AAA is AAA if it's over 90% on gamerankings. For this game it's 95% right now and higher than gears of war 2, I am simply going to buy it because of that.
Honestly I was thinking about renting it, I usually don't like ps3 exclusives that much. I have to make a decision today since i'm going to get the game early today.
Never really followed the hype on the game, but after watching the QL it looked interesting enough that I would probably buy it if I had a PS3.

Now I have that Robot Chicken sketch of "Michael Bay presents: EXPLOSIONS!" stuck in my head.
Even if I totally hated uncharted, uncharted 2 adresses every complaint I have with that game. It's good, the graphics are good and the gameplay is very refined. It's like they took more effort and stuff creating the game, there seems to be a better variety of environments.

Okay so first off i think that majority of people don't care about graphics instead of those people talking about how you should get Borderlands for the pc because the graphics are better so for that WHATEVER. Second how the hell can a fucking cover system be better than another game. please explain that to me. Third explain to me how the bar has been raised cause i still see another third person shooter. You know what Gears of War 3 will probably be awesome if they don't fuck up somehow and they provide a good amount of new stuff and sweet set pieces like the last one.
