After looking over a few pictures of the new Drake, he looks older. If he does end up being older, say early 40's I would be disappointed. Sure, I would one day down the line like to see a older, wiser Nathan Drake, but I'm not ready to say goodbye to cocky, sarcastic, "I haven't thought that far ahead" Drake. Some details about the game say that the story will play with the Nate/Sully father figure relationship (which means more Sully, yay!) Which wouldn't work as well with an older protagonist, giving me some hope that maybe he isn't as old as I'm thinking. 
 So, Do you think he's older? and do you like the idea of an older Drake. 
 
 
PS: would anyone else like to see some flashbacks to Nate's past, I would enjoy learning about his backstory, or maybe a flashback where you play as Sully in his Prime, before he met Drake.

I agree that he looks older but I don't think he's going to change. Drake had a more older look to him in 2 then he did in 1, but he was still the same lovable Drake we all knew.

He was in his early 30's in UC2, so he may be mid 30's now, but he's not graying or anything. I don't want him all world weary, but I do want him to grow up a bit by the end. The biggest ludonarrative dissonance in Uncharted is Drake's snark combined with his murderous rampage, so some resolution of that'd be good.  
 
I do see what you mean with the look, though, I think Naughty Dog keeps improving their facial rendering and Drake is getting more detailed, and possibly looking a bit different because of that. If it's like UC2, then he'll look much closer by the end. The first teaser for that game had Drake looking really different, but he looks way more consistent in the final game.

He does look "older" but not old. I didn't even notice until you pointed it out, so I guess that means they aged him well.

I think the beat down appearance of Drake is meant to reflect the merciless challenges of the desert. Not necessarily his age. His dehydrated body, and scruffy appearance are there to make a more realistic and cinematographic experience.

I think Amy Hennig said in an interview with Adam Sessler that Nathan Drake is somewhere between his early to mid 30s. "

Harrison Ford was 39 when Raiders of the Lost Ark premiered in 1981.  Just sayin'. 

I always assumed he was in his late 20's early 30's. He looks a little bit different in the Uncharted 3 pics but hugely different.

Drake looks fine sure he has aged from his days in Degrassi but he is still pretty young.
